Fix Spam

Some email clients may flag messages sent from a mail list server as suspected spam.  If this occurs, there is usually a way to specify that you wish to allow delivery of messages to your inbox.  The procedure for doing this varies by program.

To add to this list, send the information to notes.reply@wshsptsa.org.

Table of Contents

  1. General
  2. Hotmail
  3. Yahoo! Mail
  4. Norton AntiSpam

General

If you have anti-spam software installed on your email, here are some general procedures that may assist you in configuring your system to accept notes messages.

  • If your software has an 'Allowed List' feature, enter the email address notes@wshsptsa.org into the Allowed List.
  • If your software has directed a notes message to a 'Junk Mail', 'Suspected Spam' or 'Spam Quarantine' folder (the term varies by program), you usually have the option to flag the message as acceptable by selecting it and clicking a 'This is Not Spam' button or menu option.
  • If your software has a 'White List' folder, you usually move a message flagged as suspected spam from the 'Spam Folder' to a 'White List' folder to indicate that future messages from the same sender are not to be treated as spam.
